| Stop this cruelty, at least in the name of God: Pope Francis

Vatican City: Pope Francis has called for an end to Russia’s massacre in Ukraine, at least in the name of God. Please listen to the pitiful cries of those caught up in the ravages of war. There is an unjustifiable armed attack going on.

Death is rampant, including in children and the general public. Pope Francis has called for an end to the bombing and shelling of Ukrainian cities, at least in the name of God, in a Sunday prayer service in St. Peter’s Square. The pope described Russia’s attacks on children’s hospitals as brutal. He further added that whatever justification is given for such acts, it cannot be accepted.
