A medical campaign for the early detection of breast and cervical cancers was recently organized for the benefit of women in the province of Tarfaya, with the aim of encouraging early detection and preventing the risks associated with these diseases.
Initiated by the “Al Amal” association of cancer patients, in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in Laâyoune, with the support of the province of Tarfaya and the provincial and municipal councils, this campaign is part of the celebration of International Women’s Day.
This medical initiative aims to bring medical services closer to citizens and provide early screening for breast and cervical cancer for the benefit of women in the province, the director of the hospital stressed in a statement to MAP. Moulay El Hassan Ben El Mahdi in Laayoune, Lamiae Sebbar.
Ms. Sebbar, who is also the acting director of the Oncology Center in Laâyoune, noted that this medical campaign has benefited 120 women, adding that more than 30 ultrasound examinations have been carried out.
For her part, the president of the “Al-Amal” Association, Jettou Hachouma, stressed the importance of this medical campaign, which is part of the celebration of International Women’s Day. , welcoming in this regard the efforts of the medical staff who have given a hand to the women of the province.
This campaign was supervised by a medical staff made up of three nurses and four female doctors in several specialties including general medicine and gynecology.
On the sidelines of this medical campaign, a ceremony of tribute to women women was organized in recognition of their efforts in various fields.
