Eight years following its launch, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, sometimes contested by fans of the brand, is completely renewed. It assumes even more its profile of a simple compact minivan, more oriented towards the passengers than the driver.
In 2014, wanting to compete with its great rival Mercedes and its B-Class, BMW landed on the segment of small minivans with the Series 2 Active and Gran Tourer. This choice may have shocked purists used to BMWs with rear-wheel drive and dynamic behavior. Yet, even when driven by the front wheels, the 2 Series Active Tourer did fine dynamically…for “traction”.
