Late Saturday evening, a 44-year-old man collided with a SBB train. Seriously injured, he was taken to hospital.
Saturday, around 11:30 p.m., a 44-year-old man was hit by a SBB train in Fribourg. On the spot, the emergency services discovered him seriously injured and unconscious near the railway tracks. The latter was taken to hospital, the Friborg cantonal police announced in a press release on Sunday.
According to the first elements collected at the scene, the collision with the train, which was traveling between
Bern and Lausanne, occurred shortly before Friborg station, when the man was crossing the tracks on foot. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.
Police patrols, an SAS ambulance and the SMUR were dispatched to the scene.
