The Beast is a scooter that goes kart, or vice versa

The manufacturer Fiido, specialist in electric bicycles, is embarking on a promising new segment, that of the scooter crossed with… a kart. Success guaranteed!

Fiido’s brand new vehicle, called Beast, is surprising. It looks like an electric scooter from a distance, but as you get closer you can see a small low seat that allows it to be used as a mini-kart! In fact, the Beast can be used in either configuration.

For all-terrain fans

The manufacturer intends the vehicle for off-road enthusiasts, but also for all those who love performance. The Beast has a 1,300W (500 + 800) dual-drive motor, accompanied by a (removable) battery with a capacity of 1,536 Wh. We can fill up on the sector in 12 hours. Maximum range is 100 kilometers in single-drive mode. The vehicle can carry a driver of 120 kg.

Both 11-inch wheels have their own suspension, and the rider has a dual hydraulic braking system. The structure of the scooter is made of magnesium alloy. A keyless security system is also present for anti-theft, as is a screen with integrated USB port.

With all this paraphernalia, the Beast is not a light scooter: it indeed weighs 36.5 kg… But it is not either a small urban scooter to simply go to work in the morning, even if it will perform this task.

The Beast will launch on Indiegogo sometime in March, at an as-yet-unknown price. But Fiido announces that the first buyers will benefit from a 38% discount on the public price. Production will start this summer, so we can expect deliveries before the end of the year.
