Zelensky claimed that the Ukrainian troops dealt the biggest blow suffered by the Russian army in decades

As stated Cnn in SpanishRussian ground troops are currently regarding 24 kilometers from the center of Kievthe Ukrainian capital, while the town of Mariúpol woke up with a bleak landscape following a series of air strikes that would have left the city in a “state of disaster”.

“The losses of the Russian army have been colossal. The dynamic has been such that the Russian army has received its biggest blow in decades. They had never lost so much in these last few days. The tactical group of the 31 battalion of the enemy has lost its capacity. The Russian military are surrendering, not just one by one, but in whole groups. They are trying to get out of Ukraine and back to Russia,” the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelensky also demanded the immediate release of the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, who was arrested yesterday by armed Russian soldiers. From Russia they argue that the Ukrainian politician represents a “danger”, accusing him of terrorism crimes, while Ukraine alleges that said action confirmed a kidnapping and that it means a “crime once morest democracy”.
