Abu Dhabi grants judicial seizure to 127 child protection specialists

The UAE continues its efforts to strengthen the system of care, protection and support for children, in accordance with the best international standards and levels.

And Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs in the UAE and Head of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, issued a decision granting the status of judicial officers to 127 child protection specialists in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which entitles them to the capacity of judicial officers to prove What is in violation of the provisions of Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 regarding the rights of the child, and the regulations and decisions issued in implementation thereof.

Judicial officers from the child protection specialist took the legal oath before Counselor Ali Muhammad Al Balushi, Attorney General of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, at the headquarters of the Judicial Department.

Counselor Ali Al Balushi stressed that granting the status of a judicial police officer to a number of child protection specialists, to begin carrying out the duties of control for crimes and violations that fall within their jurisdiction, according to the legal powers granted to them, enhances efforts to protect children and enforce the applicable law, ensuring comprehensive and integrated rights. It ensures proper care of the child at all stages of life, and protecting him from any risks that hinder his upbringing in the right way.

Continuous efforts to ensure the full rights of the child

He pointed out that the efforts made within the existing cooperation between the authorities with joint jurisdiction in this aspect, guarantee the full rights of the child in light of the legislation and laws in force, in line with the directives of the wise leadership, with the continuity of work to provide the elements supporting the protection of children and to create an environment stimulating their growth and development , while maintaining the cohesion and stability of the family.

He explained that the qualifying program for granting police officer status to child protection specialists, which is offered by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, aims to prepare inspectors in the field of child protection familiar with all aspects of judicial and administrative control in accordance with the regulations and laws in force, by providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement legal procedures aimed at taking steps Proactive to ensure the prevention of abuse, neglect and exploitation, or exposure to violence, as well as the development of their skills in responding to the needs of children who have been harmed or abused.

For her part, Sana Suhail, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, affirmed the keenness of the Authority, in cooperation with its partners in the Judicial Department, to prepare and qualify a number of workers in the health, education, security and social sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in the field of child protection and early detection of cases of child abuse. And granting them the status of judicial police to strengthen the system of care, protection and support for children, in accordance with the best international standards and levels.

She drew attention to the importance of the efforts made by the various authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to safeguard the rights of children and ensure their growth and prosperity in a safe, stable and supportive environment, in keeping pace with the progress and development that the country is tackling during the next fifty years, and its importance as well in bringing regarding positive and sustainable change whose impact extends from generation to generation. .
