Nintendo interrupts deliveries to Russia, the eShop there is under maintenance

Nintendo confirmed in a statement that it has paused product shipments to Russia. In addition, the eShop in this country “is currently under maintenance following the suspension of Russian ruble transactions by the payment provider. All of this is related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Earlier in the week, Nintendo delayed Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, citing “recent world events”. It is not yet known when the title will receive a new release date.

As for the latest developments, Nintendo has provided Eurogamer the following statement:

We have decided to suspend shipping of all Nintendo products to Russia in the near future. This is due to the considerable volatility surrounding the logistics of shipping and distributing physical goods. Additionally, the Nintendo eShop in Russia is currently under maintenance following the suspension of Russian ruble transactions by the payment provider.

Eurogamer also points out that Nintendo pulled some marketing materials.
