The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has authorized this Saturday the shipment to Ukraine of military material valued at 200 million dollars (regarding 183 million euros).

“By the authority as President conferred on me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America (…), I delegate to the Secretary of State the authority (…) to spend the sum of 200 million dollars in material and Department of Defense services and military education and training to assist Ukraine,” the White House said in a statement.

The United States has sent a large amount of military material to Ukraine in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that are facing the Russian Army, which began the invasion of the country on February 24.

In addition, Washington has increased its military presence in the Eastern European countries that belong to NATO in response to this Russian military action.
