Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Acting Minister of Health and Population, directed to change the dates of issuing the daily statement for statistics of injuries, deaths and recovery from the Corona virus, to be issued periodically at the beginning of each week.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the last daily statement of Corona statistics was issued by the ministry, in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, and the following data will be issued on Saturday of every week.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” indicated that the decision to change the date of issuing the statement came with the failure of the fifth wave of the pandemic and the decline in infection rates at almost constant rates for two consecutive weeks, in addition to the decrease in occupancy rates in hospitals.
Abdul Ghaffar expressed his hope that the number of infections with the Corona virus will continue to decrease locally and globally, stressing the need to expand the receipt of the target groups for vaccinations according to the timetable, and to adhere to the necessary preventive measures, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, which will lead to a successful and peaceful overcoming of the crisis.
He called on citizens to preserve the gains of the Egyptian state in the face of the epidemic, and to continue to practice precautionary measures and maintain personal hygiene to protect individuals and society from the spread of any infectious diseases.
