At E3 2017, Ubisoft unveiled Skull and Bones, his future adventure game taking piracy as a backdrop. The game whose development was entrusted to the Ubisoft Singapore studio was originally planned for the fall of 2018. But successive postponements, the resumption of an already advanced development from scratch and changes of direction within the studio have had reason for the project.
Frederick Duguet confirmed to us a few weeks ago that the game would indeed be released during this fiscal year and that it would be mainly oriented towards multiplayer. This time, the studio’s financial director came to present (in addition to the new visual of the game logo) the Insider program. A program whose goal will be to allow a handful of players to test a beta of the game. Their task will be to report all the problems and various bugs to the developers so that they can correct them and thus improve the final version. Why bother paying when you can have volunteer volunteers?
“Ideal candidates are fans of Skull & Bones passionate regarding game development and having a lot of time to devote to testing and reporting problems, bugs or, more simply, general comments. »
Players interested in the program should apply on the Ubisoft official websiteand in case of selection will have, as one might obviously suspect, to respect a fairly strict confidentiality agreement. The Skull and Bones project is therefore not only more topical than ever, but it is quite advanced to the point that Ubisoft has a playable beta to offer players. Remember that the fiscal year will end in March 2023, enough to hope for more and more news from the studio in the coming months.
