This is the result of the first general census of companies in Congo (Regec) for the year 2022, published on March 10 by the Ministry of Planning and Statistics. Among the economic units in activity, 75,118 are in the seats, said the Minister of Planning and Statistics. Note that 81.87% evolve in the tertiary sector and mainly in trade. The departments of Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire are home to 32,386 economic units and 24,597 respectively. The informal sector remains dominant in our economy with 70,164 economic units. Of all the economic units surveyed, 21,983 are owned by women and 57,234 are run by nationals. These statistics were indicated in the presence of the Minister in charge of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo, and that of Industrial Development, Antoine Nicéphore Thomas Fylla Saint-Eudes as well as the resident representative of the World Bank, Korotoumou Ouattara.
