Head of State hopes to increase admission of new medical students

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged this Thursday to review the study offers to increase the new income of students in the area of ​​medicine, for this reason he instructed the ministerial team to start talks with the universities .

“I would like us to graduate 50,000 male and female doctors annually; 10 thousand biologists; 10 thousand bioanalysts; 40 thousand male and female nurses, 50,000 engineers from all branches”, said the Head of State.

He established the goal for this year, where it is expected that admission to the community comprehensive medicine career “cannot drop below the figure of 30,000 new admissions.”

He stressed that “the day will come when Venezuela will be able to bring, as Cuba does, thousands of doctors to the world to bring health to lead life. We are going to review the offer now and speak with the rectors of the universities”.

He indicated that 80% of university students are from public universities, whose quota is guaranteed by the Venezuelan State.
