The first comment from the UAE Minister of Energy regarding the demand to increase oil production to reduce prices

Al-Marsad newspaper – agencies: The UAE Energy Minister, Suhail Al-Mazrouei, said that the UAE is committed to the OPEC + agreement and its current monthly production adjustment mechanism.

“The UAE believes in the value that the OPEC + group provides to the oil markets,” the minister added on his Twitter account.

The Emirati ambassador to Washington, Yousef Al-Otaiba, had affirmed that the UAE has been a reliable and responsible supplier of energy to global markets for more than five decades, pointing to the importance of stability in energy markets for the global economy.

In a statement published by the UAE embassy in Washington on its Twitter account, Al Otaiba said: “The UAE has been a reliable and responsible energy supplier to global markets for more than 50 years and believes that stability in energy markets is critical to the global economy.”

The statement added: “We prefer to increase production and will encourage OPEC to consider higher production levels.”
