Live Feed PS5: Final Fantasy, Exoprimal… What to remember from the State of Play!
After a State of Play dedicated entirely to Gran Turismo 7 last month, Sony is back with a brand new edition. On the program, dozens of ads for a good twenty minutes on upcoming games on PS5. And not to miss anything of this evening, we offer you this magnificent Live Feed. Of course, we also wish you all a good time!
Exoprimal, Returnal… The big announcements of the show!
The State of Play is finally over, and what we can say is that the conference was full of announcements. Besides, it started with a bang with the presentation of a brand new license, namely Exoprimal. Signed Capcom (Resident Evil, Dino Crisis), this still mysterious new adventure reminds us in many ways of the aesthetics of free-to-play Paragon. It invites players to dive into a futuristic universe to face imposing dinosaurs and many other opponents. Even if nothing has been formalized for the moment, the game seems to be a cooperative adventure where it is possible to embody many classes of warriors. Everything is expected for 2023 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
We continue with Trek to Yomi which, thanks to a slick trailer, once once more managed to seduce us. The sizzling filter and the black and white tone indeed pays a nice tribute to Hong Kong cinema as had Ghost of Tsushima in its time with its Film visual mode. But that’s not all, the game that puts us in the boots of Hiroki, a young fighter who wants to avenge his master, continually offers sumptuous panoramas and magnificent choreography. Everything is arriving this spring on our machines.
Trek to Yomi cuts to the quick
The State of Play also caused a stir by unveiling the Co-op mode of Returnal. The roguelite that was talked regarding when it was launched for its difficulty returned to the front of the stage during the evening to present the Ascension update to us. The latter, expected for March 22, will allow players to go through the entire adventure together or to witness the arrival of La Tour de Sysiphe. This tower comes to give a hard time by offering players to overcome a challenge consisting of twenty floors. An enticing program!
And to finish with the big announcements, the event ended with the presentation of two games published by Square Enix. The first is none other than The DioField Chronicle, a tactical game that allows players to take control of brave soldiers to face many types of enemies, including gigantic dragons. And the second is Valkyrie Elisiuma new adventure that is part of the saga Valkyrie Profile. The title, which is closer to beat’em all or hack’n’slash than classic J-RPG, will offer players the opportunity to fight many opponents in a successful cel-shaded visual.

Final Fantasy, Ghostwire Tokyo… Many new and confirmed
Of course, the conference also took the opportunity to confirm the arrival of Ghostwire Tokyo on PC and PlayStation 5 on March 25, but also Forspoken – who had the right to a nice trailer – for the end of the year or even Stranger of Paradise. The latter, taking place in the Final Fantasy saga and still expected for March 18, has just received a new demo on the PlayStation Store.
Unpublished announcements were also part of the game… We think in particular of Gundam Evolutiona competitive free-to-play FPS set in the Gundam universe, in TMNT : The Cowabunga Collection which brings together a total of 13 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games on a single pad or even on GigaBash who shows himself as an heir of War of the Monsters and of course to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures : All-Star Battle R. Of all the announcements that we have just mentioned, it is perhaps the one that caught our attention the most since it will offer no less than 50 characters drawn from the different arcs of the manga at its launch. Good news, all the games are expected for this year.
Forspoken: a twirling and explosive preview of PS5 gameplay during the State of Play!
Customize the Final Fantasy XVI ni the God of War
However, despite the many enticing announcements and confirmations, it was impossible not to look gray… Even if there was little chance that we would have new information on God of War : Ragnarokhowever, we hoped to have crisp announcements to eat concerning Final Fantasy XVI. Unfortunately, it is not the case. Naoki Yoshida’s game offering players to dive into a world of Heroic Fantasy has preferred to be discreet once once more… For another time perhaps.
