The fire rate of Uljin-Samcheok was still at 65%, 45% in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, and 90% in Geumjeong-gu, Busan.

As of 6 p.m. today, the total amount of damage from wildfires across the country is regarding 22,000 hectares.

By region, 17,279 hectares of forest were damaged in Uljin and 1,142 hectares in Samcheok.

1,900 hectares of forest in Gangneung and 2,100 hectares in the East Sea were burned.

Nationwide, more than a third of the area of ​​Seoul, 77.5 times the area of ​​Yeouido, and the equivalent of regarding 30,000 soccer fields were damaged.

The damage was close to the east coast wildfires of 2000, which killed 17 people and burned more than 23,000 hectares of forest.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, but regarding 570 places across the country, including 352 houses and 45 livestock and livestock facilities, have already suffered damage.

In addition, 349 people were displaced by this forest fire and are staying in temporary housing facilities.

In particular, the forest authorities are focusing on manpower and equipment to prevent damage to the Gumgangsong community in Uljin, where the fire spread today.

Currently, a total of 6,800 people have been deployed to extinguish wildfires across the country. More than 700 firefighters, 1,500 civil servants, and 4,500 firefighters from the military and provincial governments worked to extinguish the fire.

In addition, a total of 104 helicopters and 604 vehicles, including vehicles, are working to extinguish forest fires across the country.
