AMLO heads event for Women’s Day at the National Palace

“It is an honor to be with Obrador!”: AMLO leads the Women’s Day event at the National Palace Under the cry of “It is an honor to be with Obrador!”, the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador leads this morning the commemoration for the International Women’s Day at the National Palace, which was walled by metal fences since Monday before the protests that will take place this Tuesday.

In the Central Patio of the historic site, López Obrador is accompanied by the women of his legal and expanded cabinet, as well as by Claudia Sheinbaumhead of government of Mexico City.

Also present is the Governor of the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), Victoria Rodriguez Ceja; the minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Loretta Ortizand the president of the Senate, Olga Sanchez Cordero.

In addition, on the podium of honour, President López Obrador is accompanied by the deputy from Morena, Andrea Chavez and Nadine Gasmandirector of the National Institute for Women (Inmujeres).

The governors of Morena extraction are also present at this event, as well as Citlalli Hernández, general secretary of Morena, among other guests.
