Ralph Siegel (“A little peace”) has released a new peace song in response to the Ukraine war: “Never once more war!”
The music producer actually wrote the song for his musical “Zeppelin”, but then rejected it. Well, in view of the war, he recorded and published it almost overnight, Ralph Siegel told the “dpa”. “Of course, the world plays the old songs, by John Lennon, for example,” Siegel said, also pleased regarding the renewed radio airplay of his evergreen “A Bit of Peace” from the 70s.
The situation between Russia and Ukraine is terrible, the producer said, and the nuclear situation is even more frightening. “Troubling the world like this – no Ukrainian deserves that, no Russian, no European, no one in the world. It’s just crazy,” said Siegel. In one line of text he rewrote the Nazi slogan “Work makes you free”. “Peace makes you free,” the song says.
