The Steam Deck already exceeds a thousand fully playable games

A few days ago, Valve enabled a page so that the different Steam users know how compatible their game library is with the Steam Deck. On this same site, the company indicated that little by little more games would be tested to add them to the verified list. In this context, it is now it has been revealed that there are already more than a thousand games fully playable on the device.

The information was released through a publication on the device page, where they also point out that along with trying different games “every day we continue to correct Proton bugs that cause problems in some games, and we also add a new functionality for make other games compatible.

Along with this, they gave a little more detail on the classification noting that “our current standards for a title to be classified as Verified or Playable are still very high. If a game displays control glyphs 99% of the time, but asks you to press F a few times during gameplay, it is classified as Playable, not Verified. If 99% of a game’s functionality is accessible, but entering an optional in-game minigame crashes or a tutorial video doesn’t render, that classifies it as Not Supported.”
