Last year, Mammootty flew to the Hungarian city of Budapest to shoot for the spy thriller Agent. The shooting of the film has resumed following a long hiatus. It is reported that Mammootty will be seen in the role of Akhil Akineni’s mentor.

The agent is directed by Surender Reddy, who has directed several hit films. Written by Vakantham Vamsi. Hip Hop Tamil is composing the music for the film. The first phase of the action-packed film was shot in Hyderabad. The film will be shot in Kashmir, Delhi and Hyderabad.
