Ukraine – Ukraine declares that its economy is “in a state of war” in the face of the Russian invasion

Marrakesh, 6 Mar. (Maroc-Actu) –

Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said on Sunday that the country’s economy was “in a state of war” in the face of the Russian invasion, which began on February 24 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We have pushed the country’s economy into a state of war. Power plants and factories are still operating, taking military orders, repairing equipment and turning war trophies into weapons,” he said, according to Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.

“To fight, the country must work, each in his place. If you are forced to evacuate, find work in the new location. Your help is needed everywhere,” said Reznikov, who stressed that the military situation “is under control.”

He noted that the Ukrainian forces “suffered losses”, although he pointed out that “in some directions the soldiers carried out counterattacks and the enemy lost dozens of pieces of equipment”. “They throw them away and run away,” he said.

“The Kremlin still does not want to accept and acknowledge its fiasco, but its time has almost come. The discontent and demoralization of the occupying troops is growing. They acquire knowledge, just like some Russian oligarchs. There are more and more cases of people not wanting to fight,” he said.
