Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Moaz Al-Hazaa, consultant of kidney transplantation and surgery, resolved, this evening, Sunday, the controversy regarding the benefits of “parsley” in filtering the kidneys, breaking up stones and maintaining their safety.
Al-Hazaa said in an interview with the “Yahla” program on “Rotana Khaleejia” channel: “With regard to (parsley) and (barley), it has not been scientifically proven that they break up stones and maintain kidney health.”
The consultant pointed out that some people think that “parsley” and “barley” are diuretics and make the kidneys produce more urine, and therefore this is healthy, and those who have stones continue to drink “beer.”
Al-Hazaa stressed that fluids may be harmful if a person has stones that block the ureter in the kidneys, indicating that it is better to drink fluids in moderation.
