[Washington, 6th Archyde.com]-US Secretary of State Brinken said on the 6th that the United States has confirmed “a very credible report” that Russian troops are intentionally attacking Ukrainian citizens. He revealed that he is collecting these records for use in the investigation of relevant agencies on war crimes.
He spoke on a CNN show. He also said, “We have confirmed a very reliable report on the use of certain weapons.”
“We are currently compiling all the information and are doing everything in our power to support the investigation of relevant agencies regarding the existence of war crimes,” he said.
The US embassy in Ukraine posted a tweet on the 4th that the attack on the nuclear power plant is a war crime following Russian troops occupy one of the largest Zaporozh’e nuclear power plants in Europe in southeastern Ukraine. According to CNN, the US State Department has sent a message to all European embassies instructing them not to retweet the tweet.
Blinken did not mention this tweet. When I asked the State Department if the tweet represented the US government’s view, I declined to comment.
Russia claims that it has not attacked civilian settlements.
