On the 7th, the fourth day since wildfires broke out in various parts of Gangwon, the forest authorities are focusing on extinguishing the main fire by mobilizing available manpower and equipment at the same time as the day is bright.
The forestry authorities started the fire by deploying 42 firefighting helicopters and 5,000 manpower at around 47 minutes of the 6th morning.
28 helicopters and 3,300 manpower are concentrated in Okgye and Donghae, Gangneung, and 6, 1,500, and 8 and 400 men are deployed in Samcheok and Yeongwol respectively to fight the fire. .
On the east coast, the wind is blowing weakly at 1 to 2 meters per second, and in Yeongwol, the speed is only 0.5 meters per second, so authorities see it as the best opportunity to extinguish the fire.

The area damaged by the fire was 4,000 hectares in Gangneung and Donghae, 400 hectares in Samcheok, and 80 hectares in Yeongwol.
When all these are combined, the area of Yeouido (290 hectares, the area inside the Yunjung-ro embankment) is over 15 times, and in terms of the area of a soccer field (0.714 hectares), it is 6,274 times.

The evolution rate is 50% in Gangneung/Donghae, 30% in Samcheok, and 50% in Yeongwol.
In the case of property damage, 10 houses, including houses in Okgye-ga, Gangneung, were burnt down, and in the East Sea, 70 houses were burned down, and 24 houses were partially burned.
In Samcheok, one house and one county socho were burnt down, and part of the first floor of Gopo Village Hall in Wondeok-eup, Samcheok was also burned down.
The most common victims were in the East Sea with 40 people in their 20s, and in Gangneung and Samcheok, a total of 49 people from 28 households, including 7 from 7th generation and 2 from 1st generation.
