Next Tuesday invites Apple to the first keynote of the year. The manufacturer from Cupertino will present new hardware under the motto “Peek Performance”. It is perfectly normal to have a few days intensify the rumors regarding upcoming products before a keynote. After Mark Gurman from Bloomberg commented on new products, analyst Ming Chi Kuo also spoke up this Sunday.

Kuo talks regarding upcoming Apple products

The renowned analyst Ming Chi Kuo, who has repeatedly demonstrated his very good knowledge of Apple, although not always hitting the mark, is on Twitter today and talks regarding upcoming products within the Mac desktop family.

Kuo says Apple won’t launch an iMac Pro or a new Mac Pro this year. He does not expect these products to be available until next year. For the current year 2022, Apple will have a more powerful Mac mini as well as a more attractively priced external 27-inch display (without mini-LED) on the market.

Kuo’s statements partially conflict with the forecast from display analyst Young Ross. This assumes that the 27-inch iMac Pro will appear later this year. It is quite possible that the two analysts are talking regarding different devices. Maybe this year there will be a “normal” 27-inch iMac and next year a 27-inch iMac Pro.

As already mentioned, Kuo expects a new Mac mini and a new 27-inch display this year. With these two products, we can well imagine that next Tuesday – alongside the iPhone SE 3 and a new iPad Air 5 – be on the agenda of the keynote. Just before the weekend, a rumor surfaced Mac Studio and Apple Studio Display on. Is this the new Mac mini or a similar device and the new display? We have to be patient for two more days.
