In Canada, the booster dose is recommended for immunosuppressed people. Patrick Meunier, the son of the Roberval hospital patient, struggles to understand why the hospital cannot inject his mother with a fourth dose.
“We would have to take her out and then go to a vaccination center,” Mr. Meunier is indignant regarding the lack of vaccine in the establishment where his mother is.
“There are COVID-19 patients around her. Knowing this, I will give her a fourth dose, if she asks me. I understand that there is a risk, but for my mother, this risk is less compared to the risk of surviving by contracting the virus”.
