Alex Albon explained how to use the recent knowledge gained at Red Bull to help Williams move forward at the 2022 F1 World Championship.
Alex Albon, who had been on the sidelines for a year as a reserve and development driver for Red Bull F1, is in an unusual position to race for another team while staying connected to the team.
Basically, Red Bull has signed a deal with Williams and rents Alex Albon for the possibility of returning to Fold at some point in the future.
Asked if he considers himself a loan transfer driver or if he is fully committed to the Williams F1 team, Alex Albon explained that he is bringing a long-term mentality to his situation.
“We have to see ourselves completely as a Williams driver,” said Alex Albon.
“On my side, it’s very simple. My target and goal is to do the best job I can do this year. It’s the best job I can do for Williams.”

Alex Albon is also in a unique position for the new season. He has done a lot of development work on Red Bull’s 2022 F1 machine “RB18” prior to his move to Williams.
Alex Albon has been working on a simulator to support the initial development of the Red Bull RB18 before starting work on the Williams FW44.
“I’ve been working on RB18 for a while,” commented Alex Albon.

Jumping from one machine to another in 2022 may suggest that Alex Albon has a lot of technical secrets and know-how to bring to Williams. However, Albon denied his view that it was realistic.
“The simulator is very simple. It has two wheels on the front and is inside the monocoque,” added Alex Albon.
“It’s difficult in that sense, but I think what I bring to Williams is how Red Bull works and, above all, how they do business.”
