He said he was advised not to tell anyone outside and that the BCCI itself would disclose the matter. However, senior journalist Boriya Majumdar admitted that he was the one. Boria said Saha was distorting his chats and making fake screenshots. Boria, who has a close relationship with BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, made the revelation on his Twitter handle.

‘There are always two sides to a story. Screenshots of WhatsApp chats were distorted, and the fake Saha shattered my credibility and tarnished my reputation. I urge the BCCI to prepare for a decent hearing. My lawyers have sent a defamation notice to Saha. Let the truth prevail .’- Boria commented on the video posted on the Twitter handle. Boria also showed evidence in the video to substantiate his claims.

Saha was threatened by a journalist through WhatsApp messages when he did not respond to an interview. Saha himself shared a screenshot of the chat. They were asked to say who the journalist was.
