After the invasion of Ukraine by Russia last week, Haas had already decided to remove all links with Uralkali from his car. The American team has this time decided to go further and break Nikita Mazepin’s contract and its partnership with Uralkali.
“Haas has decided to terminate the partnership with Uralkali and the contract of Nikita Mazepin with immediate effect. Like the entire F1 community, the team is shocked and saddened by the invasion of Ukraine and wishes an end to this conflict in peace,” the statement read.
