news tip Elden Ring: watch out, cursed hug! How to get rid of it and recover your maximum life
Have you noticed a red square under your life bar in Elden Ring? What if we told you it was related to… a hug that you might have been better off avoiding? Don’t panic, we explain everything you need to know regarding this strange curse in our Elden Ring guide.
Elden Ring is a game full of secrets, and these are sometimes rather funny. Did you know for example that you will be cursed for a hug in the game, and that you can play the whole game without realizing that you have less life points? We tell you regarding it here, as part of our guide complet d’Elden Ring. And don’t forget to pick up the Gold Beetle as soon as possible to maximize your earnings from runes !
The conditions to have the debuff
After a few hours of play, you will eventually meet an NPC, Son. The latter will eventually invite you to a place located in the very southwest of the map, the round table stronghold ! You will find several NPCs there, who each have their uses.
Sonshe will simply offer you… a hug, when you talk to her on the round table stronghold. You’ve probably already accepted it, and if so, you may have noticed a new debuff on your character, represented by a red square with down arrow.
You might not know it, and a lot of gamers still haven’t noticed it, but this mark actually makes you lose 5% of your maximum life! Which gift…
However, don’t panic! The solution to get rid of it is quite simple. In your inventory is normally an item called Canopy Blessing. Consume it, and following a few seconds, this mark will disappear, allowing you to recover your maximum life.
It would be tempting to say to yourself that it is just enough not to hug Son to save time. However, and without spoilers, we strongly advise you to give him a hug anyway, especially if you want to unlock all the endings of the game (warning, spoilers).
