The Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States launched a package of programs and events on the occasion of the Gulf Day for Giftedness and Creativity for the year 2022. The programs target students, parents and specialists in the field of Arabic language, and will continue until the ninth of this March.
The events, all held remotely, include a series of training workshops and events, including: a lecture entitled: “Development of talent and linguistic creativity skills among students in the stages of general education”, and a workshop entitled: “Development and care of talented and creative students in the field of poetry.”
A poetry evening was organized for talented students in the field of poetry, a workshop entitled: “Development and care for talented and creative students in the field of Arabic calligraphy”, and a virtual exhibition of students’ productions in the field of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to a workshop entitled: “Development and care of talented and creative students in the field of story A presentation of the productions of talented students in the field of story writing.
A group of experts in the field of poetry, Arabic calligraphy and story writing are participating in the implementation of the events, in the presence and participation of talented and creative students in the field of poetry, calligraphy and story writing. Within the framework of these events, a lecture was organized yesterday entitled: “Development of talent and linguistic creativity skills among students in the stages of general education.” The lecture dealt with many topics concerned with attention to talented and creative people in the field of Arabic language and linguistic creativity, and the lecturer reviewed the difference between talent and creativity. Innovation, invention, genius and many more concepts, highlighting them and presenting examples of them in the field of Arabic language and linguistic creativity.
Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language in Sharjah, confirmed that the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States and its agencies celebrate talent and creativity by sponsoring the gifted and creative, and supporting the programs provided to them.
He explained that these events are organized for the purpose of discovering their abilities and areas of creativity, working to direct them in the right direction, and encouraging them to be more creative and innovative.
Al Hammadi pointed out the keenness of their Excellencies the Ministers of Education in the office to intensify efforts to take care of this category. The general conference of the office in its twenty-third session held in the State of Kuwait (October 21 and 22, 2014 AD) approved a Gulf Day for Giftedness, under the name “Gulf Day for Giftedness and Creativity.” It takes place on the third day of March, and its activities and celebrations continue during the first week of March of each year.
