It happened during Super-G training on Friday in Lenzerheide. Stephanie Jenal falls five days before her 24th birthday and tears the inner ligament of the right knee joint, as Swiss-Ski reports.
An operation is not necessary, according to the media release, the rehabilitation “usually takes six to eight weeks”.
Jenal finished twice in the top 30 this winter in the Super-G in St. Moritz (16th) and in Cortina d’Ampezzo (25th).
In Lenzerheide there will be a Super-G on Saturday and a giant slalom on Sunday. Then we go to Are (Sweden). The World Cup finals will take place in Courchevel/Meribel, France, from March 14th to 20th. (yup)
