A group of representatives from Ukraine urgently requested weapons and humanitarian assistance this Thursday to Mexico, to face the attacks and invasion orchestrated by Russia.
The request was facilitated through a letter addressed to the Senate of the Republic -particularly the president of the Board of Directors of the Senate, Olga Sánchez Cordero- by six Ukrainian deputies.
“The armed forces of the Russian Federation are attacking Ukraine from different directions. We are fighting the battles every second in almost every corner of Ukraine,” the letter said.

“We believe that only massive military support from our allies can help us push back the enemy… There is no time to wait. every second matters“.
The Ukrainian representatives argued that Russia bombs civilians, women and children, and providing weapons to Ukraine will stop the rise of victims in the European country “and will block the further movement of the Russian armed forces deeper into Ukrainian territory.”
In the letter they detailed the “urgent needs in large quantities”: anti-strike guided weapons; FIM-92 Stingers; small arms, grenade launchers and other ammunition (modern and of Soviet Union origin).

As well as all kinds of communication devices, mainly military portable radio sections, bulletproof vests and helmets.
“If you can provide any other type of military and humanitarian assistance, we would be very grateful,” the letter stresses.
