Shakhtar Donetsk coach dies after being hit by shrapnel from Russia

The coach of the Ukrainian youth club Shakhtar Donetsk was killed in a Russian bombing yesterday in the current war with Russia.

The Ukrainian coach’s death came following he was hit by a Russian shell fragment, to complete the series of players and athletes who began to fall during the current days.

The Ukrainian club was forced to leave its training headquarters in Donetsk due to the ongoing war in Ukraine by the Russian forces which turned into a war zone, which led to the destruction of many cities and abandoned houses.

Shakhtar club general manager Sergey Balkin announced the martyrdom of Shakhtar youth coach in Russian bombing, writing through his official account on Twitter: “One of our employees was killed yesterday, the youth coach, he was killed by a shrapnel of a shell. Russia is killing Ukrainians, stop this madness!”

“You cannot remain silent, each of you will be guilty and responsible for the crimes committed,” added the Shakhtar manager.

It is noteworthy that Shakhtar Donetsk, Dynamo Kyiv and Dnipro clubs have evacuated their Brazilian players outside Ukraine, in cooperation with the European Football Association, in order to ensure their lives following the outbreak of the Russian war in Ukraine following the players’ repeated calls.

Publicly, the players were evacuated thanks to the personal assistance of UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, Andrei Pavlko, President of the Ukrainian Federation and Leonid.

It is worth noting that the International Football Association “FIFA” announced this evening, Monday, the official suspension of the participation of the Russian national team and Russian clubs from the FIFA competition, as well as the European Union for the game “UEFA”, once morest the background of the Russian wars once morest Ukraine.
