Faced with a “potential” conflict of interest, the deputy Patricia Armendáriz gets out of discussion in San Lázaro

Faced with a potential conflict of interest and health problems, the businesswoman and deputy of Morena, Patricia Armendariz agreed with the bench Brunette unsubscribe for the meeting this Thursday at the finance commissionin which it was planned to discuss opinions on credit operations and defense of users of financial services.

“I have been hospitalized for a week to be able to receive a diagnosis regarding an ailment that I have, and Brunette I needed my space, so it was decided to drop me for the commission session and that, they do it constantly, there is no problem”, he commented in an interview with Latinus.

The legislator of Brunette and secretary of said commission, explained that the issue “that they are dealing with is that of payroll deductionso I still had to refrain because I was a minority shareholder in a popular financial company that might potentially be dedicated to that, although I am dedicated to financial inclusion”.

Armendariz accepted that participating in that discussion might represent a conflict of interest.

“Potentially it might be (a conflict of interest), because it is a hot, controversial issue, so I was going to abstain from my vote anyway, so that’s why I asked that they please drop me and replace me with a colleague,” argument.

This Thursday, in the Finance Commission chaired by the deputy of the PVEMLuis Armando Melgar, was scheduled to discuss the opinion of the General Law of Securities and Credit Operationsthe Law on Auxiliary Credit Organizations and Activities and one more on the protection and defense of financial services users.

“There is a lack of knowledge, the issue is very complex, the workers need that payroll loan because they do not have a guarantee, but many borrowers and creditors commit abuses and in this legislature we want to protect them; I believe that an open parliament should be set up, so that the sector that knows regarding the issue, where many of them are very responsible, collaborate to have a very good law for workers,” he said.
