[서울=뉴스핌] Reporter Ko In-won = A Ukrainian delegation is taking a helicopter to the meeting point for the second round of negotiations with the Russian delegation, and the talks will be held within hours, Archyde.com reported on the 3rd (local time), citing the Ukrainian delegation.
Earlier on this day, Belta News Agency reported that the second round of negotiations between the two countries would start around 3 pm (9:00 pm Korean time) on the 3rd local time in Belarus.
However, as the Ukrainian delegation has not yet arrived at the meeting point, the start of negotiations is likely to be delayed.
The second meeting was originally scheduled to be held late on the followingnoon of the 2nd, the previous day, but was postponed to today due to the delay in the arrival of the Ukrainian delegation to the meeting point.
According to the Russian state-run RIA, the second round of negotiations is near the border between Poland and Belarus. It is reported that the composition of the delegation remains unchanged from the first time.
The two delegations held the first round of talks for five hours in Gomel, Belarus on the 28th of last month, but there was no tangible result.
David Harahamiya, head of the ruling party’s Servant of the People, a member of the delegation, said on Facebook that during the negotiations, the Ukraine side would first discuss the issue of creating a humanitarian channel for the refugees before moving on to other issues.
