The Bucks turn the tables on Miami at last

Los Angeles (AFP) – The Milwaukee Bucks, the champions of last season, overturned their 14-point deficit once morest the Eastern District leader, Miami Heat, to emerge with a one-point victory, 120-119 in the NBA.

Milwaukee clearly excelled in the last minutes, scoring 21 points, compared to only 6 for his opponent.

Greek star Yannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points for the winner with 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Khris Middleton added 26 points and Gro Holiday 25, including the winning basket.

On the other hand, Taylor Hero was the best scorer in the ranks of the Miami Heat, and Gabe Vincent added 21 points.

And star James Harden snowed the Philadelphia 76ers in his first official match on his team’s home ground, scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and the same assists to lead him to a victory over the New York Knicks 123-108. Cameroonian Joel Ambed added 27 points with 12 rebounds.

Harden had moved from the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that saw Australian Ben Simmons move in the opposite direction recently.

New York was on its way to spoiling the Philadelphia fans’ celebration of Harden’s first home game when he advanced by 16 points in the second quarter. However, the Sixers snatched the difference and advanced for the first time thanks to Harden’s two free throws in the third quarter, before his treble gave his team the lead at the end of the quarter.

The Sixers did not fall behind at all in the fourth quarter to come out with their fourth win in a row.

Harden played a major role in his team’s victory in the first two matches he played in defense of his colors, but outside his rules, describing the matter as different on his team’s stadium and in front of his supporters.

“I think a lot of people around the world realize how great and passionate this audience is,” he added.

Malcolm Brogdon scored 31 points and succeeded in 11 rebounds to lead the Indiana Pacers to a victory over the Orlando Magic 122-114 following extension, leaving them 15 points behind in the last quarter of the original time.

Tyrese Halliburton scored 12 points out of 21 in overtime.

In other games, the Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 120-90, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Denver Nuggets 119-107, the Utah Jazz defeated the Houston Rockets 132-127 following extension, the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Sacramento Kings 125-95 and the Charlotte Hornets defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 119 98.
