Shim Seok-hee and Choi Min-jung’s ‘uncomfortable living together’ has begun – Today’s Maekyung

The ‘uncomfortable cohabitation’ of the Korean women’s short track team has begun.

After taking a break from the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the short track team was convened once more at the Jincheon Athletes’ Village on the 2nd for the 2022 International Skating Union (ISU) World Championships to be held in Montreal, Canada. Shim Seok-hee (Seoul City Hall), who was disciplined for gossiping regarding her fellow players, returns, and a reunion with the victims Choi Min-jeong (Seongnam City Hall) and Kim A-rang (Goyang City Hall) is foretold.

Shim Seok-hee was at the center of controversy when it was revealed that she and a coach in the national team at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in October last year wentssip regarding Choi Min-jung and other colleagues. However, following the disciplinary action was over, he revealed his will to return and was able to meet once more with players he had an uncomfortable relationship with.

Although Shim Seok-hee tried to apologize several times earlier, Choi Min-jung did not accept it. Choi Min-jung’s agency, All That Sports, also requested ‘player protection’. On this day, All That Sports said, “Choi Min-jung has been under a lot of stress due to suspicions of intentional collisions by a specific athlete and swearing and humiliating fellow athletes. “I feel anxious and worried,” he said. All That Sports added, “She asks the federation and national team to take action to avoid unnecessary contact and contact outside of training venues.”
