Game news War in Ukraine: STALKER 2 sees its release date postponed indefinitely
As you probably already know, war has been raging in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin decided to send his troops to the territory. This situation obviously put part of the video game industry on hold and delayed many eSport tournaments and impacted the development of many games, starting with STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl.

The cause of all this: the war that has been in full swing in Ukraine for a few days already.
Indeed, it is through a making-of video (available below), where we see how the motion-capture sessions are carried out, that the studio announces that the discussion session with the developers is canceled and STALKER 2 will ultimately not arrive in 2022.

In other words, the development of the game, which was however well advanced, has been suspended and will certainly be resumed when the war has ended. For our part, we are wholeheartedly with the developers and their families.
As a reminder, STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl was initially expected for December 8 and was to be released on PC and Xbox Series X | S and land in the Xbox Game Pass on the day of its launch.
