Oppo has announced a record-breaking fast charging technology for the smartphone battery, in addition to another technology that preserves the battery, according to Mac Rumors.
The announcement came during the Mobile World Forum 2022, where OPPO showcased a range of technologies, including the Find X5 series of phones, and two new technologies for high-speed charging.
The first charging speed is 150 watts and it can charge a 4500 mAh battery in half in 5 minutes, and it can charge it fully in 15 minutes.
This technology contains the feature of the battery health engine found in Find X5 phones, and aims to keep the battery at 80% of its original capacity following charging it 1,600 times, doubling its validity period, as the batteries maintain this percentage following 800 charging cycles.
Oppo will introduce this charging technology, called 150W SUPERVOOC, in some of its selected phones during the second quarter of this year 2022.
The company also revealed the 240W SUPERVOOC technology, which broke all records in charging speed, as it can fully charge a 4500 mAh battery in just 9 minutes. Oppo did not reveal the date of the arrival of the first device with this technology.
