A short time ago we learned that NVIDIA was the target of a cyberattack. Following this, the hackers put some of the files online since NVIDIA did not meet their expectations. There are a large number of technical files available and the interesting information is therefore trickling in. Moreover in these files we even discovered the code name Blackwell for Hopper’s successor GPUs. But here we might have put our finger on the technical specifications of the next generation of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cardsaka Ada Lovelace.
So here is what we learn, we would have AD102, AD104, AD106, AD116 and finally AD117 GPUs. Here the SM’s name (streaming processors) would go up to 144 for the biggest GPU, so the RTX 4090. In comparison, we have 82 SM on the RTX 3090 and 84 SM on the RTX 3090 Ti. Under the very probable assumption that we always have the same number of CUDA cores in an SM, we arrive at the 18,432 CUDA cores. A figure already mentioned in previous rumors. NVIDIA is also planning an AD103 GPU with 84 SM (10,752 CUDA cores) and AD104 with 60 SM (7,680 cores). The mid-range and entry-level AD106 and AD107 GPUs are expected to offer 36 SM (4,608 cores) and 24 SM (3,072 cores) respectively.
Finally, remember that according to the latest rumors, this generation of GPUs RTX 4000 would arrive for the month of September.
