The International Football Federation has imposed an additional ban on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, ‘ban from participation in the World Cup’.
As the International Olympic Committee imposed sanctions, Russia was in danger of being expelled from the international sports arena.

Yesterday, FIFA banned Russia from hosting a home game as well as using the country, flag, and country name.

FIFA, in collaboration with the European Football Federation, announced that the Russian national team and club teams will be banned from participating in FIFA-sponsored competitions.

It also decided to withdraw the Olympic medal given to President Putin in consideration of the violation of the Olympic truce resolution.
Among domestic sports, the Curling Federation announced that it would reject all matches once morest Russia, starting with the World Championships, in order to jointly respond to international sports organizations.
