On the occasion of MWC currently being held in Barcelona, the Chinese brand ZTE unveiled a new range of entry-level smartphones, the Blade V40. Four smartphones, the Blade V40, Blade V40 5G, Blade V40 Pro and Blade V40 Vita are therefore expected from April.

The different models of the Blade V40 range

the Blade V40 classic benefits from a screen with punch of 6.67 inches, Full HD + resolution and a beautiful screen / body ratio of 92.1%. A triple 48 MP photo sensor has been installed, as well as a 4 cm macro sensor. The front camera has 8 MP.

the Blade V40 Pro is the top-of-the-range model. It is thus equipped with a fast charge 65W power, 5100mAh high capacity battery and ZTE’s smart power saving technology. Its 6.67-inch AMOLED screen covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut. Design-wise, it’s just 8.3mm thick and comes in a glossy blue-pink colourway. Surprisingly, its photo module only has two sensors.

the Blade V40 Vita is the largest model, with a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. Its 6.745-inch screen has a drop of water for the front camera. The resolution is HD+, which will probably be too low for many users. ZTE highlights it for its long battery life, thanks to its 6000 mAh battery and 22.5 W fast charge. It seems to be the only model to be offered in red.

As to Blade V40 5Glittle is known regarding it, except that it integrates a 7 nm octa-core 5G chip.

ZTE didn’t announce a pricing schedule, but said the entire lineup would gradually go on sale from April 2022.
