Army withdrawal inevitable in Ukraine; Peace as soon as possible: UN

New York | The United Nations has expressed concern over the current situation in Ukraine. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for the withdrawal of troops from Ukraine. Peace must prevail in the region as soon as possible. There is evidence that Russia has invaded populated areas. Both countries urgently need a ceasefire.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said that Europe will face the worst crisis in decades if the war continues. War is not the answer to anything. Guterres said war would only bring death and destruction.
