Milan: The Fall/Winter 2022-2023 women’s fashion shows end Monday at Milan Fashion Week, whose six days gave an idea of the main trends in the field for the coming months.

First noticed is the return of the shoulder pads that were the star of the eighties of the twentieth century. These pillows attended most of the fashion shows during Milan Week, and their size seemed exaggerated and very wide.

And Dolce & Gabbana presented a collection of clothes that give the wearer more shoulders. There were double-breasted suits in charcoal black, or jackets that ranged from orange, fuchsia and canary yellow.

And “Versace” betting to accentuate the contrast, through long oversized coats with a wide width between the shoulders, in pale blue and rose colors, paired with tight shirts.

As for Prada, it introduced large black dresses with wide shoulders that emit chains that wrap around the neck.

There was a tendency in the Milan Week shows to transparent dresses.

The house “Fendi” designed chiffon skirts from silk, leaving a little space for the imagination, in shades of pink, apricot and mint colors.

Transparent was also present in the collection of the brand N°21m, while Lorenzo Serafini, the designer of “Philosophy”, chose shirts with a round neck and prominent shoulder pads as well.

Missoni recreated her famous zigzag pattern on sheer Lurex sewn into sparkly dresses and long jackets. In her designs, Prada allowed the legs to be seen through narrow skirts of sheer silk, ending below the knee, decorated with accessories in leather or gray wool.

Bottega Veneta also adopted sheer for sheer and sheer dresses decorated with sheer sequins.

The fashions that were shown in Milan showed the extent of the thirst for designs that provide a sense of comfort for the wearer, such as oversized, very soft coats that allow the wearer to wrap himself in a way that provides him with a sense of warmth.

Versace opted for a bright red puffer coat with a belt, while Philip Plein adopted the same recipe for a short bomber jacket. As for the Italian “Diesel”, which is strong in the field of jeans, women wrap themselves in very wide clothes of many colors, such as dusty pink and avocado green.

Bottega Veneta did not hesitate to present a tight dress made of teddy bear skin, with a very precise cut.

And Dolce et Gabbana presented a black and white, warm and curly faux fur coat. His collection is crowned with a cocoon-like coat painted black, which in an instant can transform into a sleeping bag.

Among the most prominent designs that have spread extensively on the Milan platforms, are small shirts that resemble swimwear more than they are regular shirts. These shirts show every detail of the body, except for a strategic part of the torso. To accompany these shorts, Missoni offered shiny pants, and Diesel ripped jeans.

Among the designs is also the chest ring, for example, one of the black latex that the singer and designer Rihanna wore in the “Gucci” show, and showed her stomach while she was pregnant.

As for Roberto Cavalli, the chest band is made of mohair in mustard or emerald color, accompanied by skirts or huge pants. And from the designer Fausto Buglisi black “dresses-cages” attached to the body, to which metal rings were added with narrow strips of fabric on the chest.

There is another trend that appeared in Milan, but it is not suitable for everyone, rather it is directed to a limited group, which is the integrated suits, that is, the upper and lower parts of which match, and even the shoes.

Roberto Cavalli is particularly expressive of this trend with its signature leopard print with a matching leather motif.

Etro chose crochet, while Blumarine offered a red, long-sleeved version.
