“The pandemic as a dramatic element is a success of ‘Nasdrovia’

The catalog of series Movistar Plus+ already has the final season of Nasdrovia. Six new chapters make up the ultimate season of comedy that narrates the ins and outs of a Russian criminal organization. Hugo Silva (Julian) and Leonor Watling (Edurne) They are lawyers who in this final round of episodes will be part of Boris’s criminal organization as legal advisers.

– How do you face the new season of the series?–With great enthusiasm, the first season I had a great time playing Julián. Now the characters have a different starting point, they are already involved in the organization and will live a harsher reality than in the first episodes of the series. From there, the two characters they will seek to save their lives, but from very different personalities. They will have many conflicts between them and will give rise to situations typical of the comedy that we already experienced in the first season, but everything from a more extreme point of view.

– How has the character of Julián that you play in Nasdrovia?–Julián for pure survival and because he is already involved in the organization and knows how it works hardens his way of thinking and acting in the second season. The character darkens and gets used to living in the ecosystem of violence and coldness of the organization to which he belongs..

-In this new season Julián becomes a man of confidence for Boris. What is his secret to withstand so much tension?-Julián is a character who self-medicates, something that is not advisable at all. He really is a wretch, but also a very smart guy.. Although he is not a stylish guy or a hero, he will be able to survive and function in a criminal organization.

–Why does Julián trust Boris so much and never think of betraying him?–Because of his personality and because Julián has no other alternatives. The two protagonists, Julián and Edurne, are locked up and have no escape. There is no way out, the situation is very well armed. When you join a criminal organization it is very difficult to leave.. You can’t say I’m 15 days and I’m leaving. You have privileged information regarding the organization and they’re not going to let you out alive.

-Julián is very convinced of the plan to follow, but Edurne is full of doubts. What will Julián do to convince her?–Therein lies the conflict of the comedy that you propose Nasdrovia. They are going to go through many situations and I cannot tell you more regarding the plot because I don’t want to spoil the viewers (laughs).

– Is there something of you in the character of Julián?–No. Luckily we are very different. You always lend something of yourself to fictional characters. But in this case we are nothing alike. He is a character with a very low level of consciousness.

-The health emergency situation appears in the plot of the series. How has the pandemic affected the filming of Nasdrovia? The pandemic as a dramatic element in the series is a total success. It is the first script in which I participate and they introduce this theme in the plot of the series. In this season the pandemic plays into the plot in favor of the situations experienced by the characters. It is very funny and causes the characters to assume the same circumstances that the citizens have gone through: situations of confinement, implementation of security measures, etc… It represents a dramatic twist within the plot of the series. On the set, we had already had some very marked protocols for some time and a lot of vigilance to work in the safest way possible. The ones who have broken their heads are the management teams that always had a boc plan in case an actor got sick and mightn’t work.

-Russia plays a major role in the series, which is currently threatening order in Europe with the conflict it has started with Ukraine. Sometimes fiction is ahead of reality…-Yes. Most of the time, reality is scarier than fiction.. When the creators write the scripts, the actors think that they are implausible situations, but later in reality, more bizarre events occur. It is a coincidence that on the eve of the premiere of Nasdroviasuddenly this disaster breaks out with Russia as the protagonist.

–How do you remember your character of Lucas in the series Paco’s men?-With love. It is a character and a series that I adore. I owe Lucas almost my entire career.. In fact, last year I participated in the new season of Paco’s men and it was amazing. The three of us were brought together following many years and it seemed that time had not passed. Everything flowed as if we had finished shooting the day before. The character is there, just like before. It was nice to meet once more with Lucas.

–What can you tell us regarding your new projects?I have a lot of trouble this summer. I can’t tell you much, but I can tell you that this summer a film inspired by an Argentine classic from the 90s, A boyfriend for my wife. is also pending the premiere of the miniseries Crossfire, co-produced by the BBC and TVE. Lastly, a international project for Netflix of which I can not reveal the title.
