Many events have delayed the project. Originally scheduled for July 2022, “Indiana Jones 5” was postponed to June 2023. One of the reasons was Harrison Ford’s shoulder injury, which appeared during rehearsal for a fight scene. Filming had been suspended for three months.
Pandemic and tragic death
To shoot an action scene, the team then had to travel to Morocco. However, due to the pandemic, the Maghreb country had suspended its flights to and from the United Kingdom, once once more delaying the project…
Finally, in November, the filming of the sequel to “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” took a dramatic turn when a member of the film crew was found dead in his hotel room in Fes, Morocco.
On the casting side, we will notably find Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson.
“Indiana Jones 5,” scheduled for release June 28, 2023.
