After announcing the possible arrival of a subcompact SUV called ‘Peugeot 1008’, digital projections have now been published anticipating its design.
A few months ago the possible arrival of a subcompact SUV, called ‘Peugeot 1008’. The model that will share a platform with the 208 and will be produced in Brazil, will enter strengthen the portfolio of the brand within the entry segment.
No official images yet, a series of independent digital screenings they were the solution to illustrate its exterior aesthetics. To make them, the artists took as a reference the current design language of the brand and distinctive elements.
Now the pictures show an SUV with a short hood, compact dimensions and a high riding position, along with styling five-door body. On its front is the ‘Peugeot’ badge and a grille similar to that of the new 308.

Also, it has some faros LED with distinctive bumper extensions and modernly detailed fender flares. In fact, the latest French media suggest that it might share the CMP platform with the Citroën New C3, a 3.98 meter SUV developed for India and South America.
However, the new Peugeot 1008 might measure between 157.5 – 163.4 inches in length and a compact size, a five-door tall body. Thanks to this, the model will offer more space and capabilities.
As for engine options, the model might incorporate a 1.2-liter Puretech three-cylinder engine for emerging markets. However, for Europe it might incorporate a fully electric version and more affordable.
On the other hand, the model might be located between Toyota Aygo X and the Yaris Cross in Europe, as well as among the Hyundai Casper and the Hyundai Bayon on other markets.
