On the fourth day of the invasion of Ukraine, the first to break through was the second city of Kharkov.
The Russian army, which paused the attack yesterday by proposing negotiations to the Ukrainian government, declared a breakdown in negotiations and launched a general airstrike on major cities.

“I have been ordered to attack from all sides according to all unit plans.”
Violent street fighting and artillery fires continue inside and outside the capital Kiev, and Kherson in southern Ukraine, close to Crimea, and Vernyevsk in the southeast, are completely surrounded by Russian forces.
But Ukraine’s counterattack is not easy.
The Pentagon said more than half of Russian troops had entered Ukraine, but were struggling with unexpectedly strong resistance.
According to the Washington Post, more than 130,000 people have already voluntarily enlisted in the Territorial Defense Force, a Ukrainian volunteer army.

Meanwhile, Russia once once more proposed to the Ukrainian government to negotiate in Belarus, but the Ukrainian government rejected it because of the location issue.

“Any city in any country, free from missile attacks, can agree. Only in such a place can we have honest conversations and end war.”
Ukrainian officials say 198 people have been killed so far, amid concerns that the war might turn into a long-running war, while the United Nations estimates that at least 64 civilians have been killed.
