Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Brussels against the war in Ukraine

About 4,000 demonstrators, according to the police, gathered on Saturday in front of the buildings of the permanent representation of Russia to the European Union, in Brussels, in support of Ukraine. They demand that action be taken once morest Russia and that the powers of Russian President Vladimir Putin be limited.

Protesters do not hide their concern as Russian troops attempt to take control of Kiev and overthrow the democratically elected Ukrainian government. They also show their solidarity with the Ukrainian people and ask for military support from the Ukrainian army.

Many demonstrators wave Ukrainian flags. Their messages: “Putin, go home“; “Stop Putin, stop the war“; “Putin, don’t touch Ukraine” or “Ukraine is Europe“.
